1. Who provides this membership
The Goodyear Guardian membership is provided by Goodyear Autocare Blacktown, 116 Bungarribee Road, Blacktown NSW 2148. It is valid only at this location and cannot be used at any other Goodyear or Goodyear Autocare store. Included services are performed by our licensed technicians.
2. Your membership and your vehicle
- Each membership covers one nominated vehicle, identified by its registration. Benefits apply only to that vehicle.
- One person may hold multiple memberships for multiple vehicles. Multi-vehicle discount: 5% off the lesser-value membership when the same account holder holds more than one active membership (store approval).
- Memberships are not transferable to a new owner. If you sell your vehicle, contact us to cancel (the settle-up in clause 11 applies), or to start a new membership for your new vehicle.
3. Term, fees and billing
- Guardian is a 12-month plan, billed as a fixed monthly fee for your tier (Basic, Plus or Pro), plus any add-on. You may also pay annually upfront (which may include a discount). Your benefits are an annual entitlement used across the 12-month period, even though you pay monthly.
- Monthly fees are charged automatically by direct debit (card or bank account), governed by our Direct Debit Request Service Agreement, provided at sign-up.
- Your price is locked for your current 12-month term. Prices are reviewed annually (on or after 1 July) and any change applies only from your next renewal, with at least 30 days' notice.
4. Failed payments
If a direct debit fails, we retry the next day, then once more 7 days later. After two failed retries, your benefits are suspended until payment is received. A dishonour fee of $14.95 may be charged per failed attempt, payable with your next successful payment. We notify you by SMS or email after each failed attempt.
5. Renewal
- Your membership automatically renews for a further 12 months at the then-current price, unless you cancel.
- We send a reminder at least one month before each renewal. You can cancel before renewal at no cost (clauses 10–11).
- Any change to your price or benefits takes effect only from renewal, after at least 30 days' notice.
6. What's included
Your tier sets your benefits; the full list is on the Guardian page, your welcome pack and your sign-up confirmation. The Pink Slip benefit covers the eSafety inspection itself; if your vehicle needs repairs to pass, those are quoted separately (with your member discount where it applies). Any work outside your inclusions is quoted and approved by you before it begins, and charged separately.
7. Labour, parts and consumables
Inclusions cover labour and these consumables at no extra cost: car service includes engine oil + oil filter; fluid top-ups include all fluids. Additional parts or work beyond your inclusions (brake pads, batteries, replacement tyres, etc.) are quoted and require your approval before we start. Parts must be supplied by our workshop to maintain the workmanship warranty.
8. Using your benefits
- Book in advance by calling the shop, texting, or online, and identify as a Guardian member. Priority booking (Pro) means we offer an available slot within 48 business hours, subject to capacity.
- Benefits apply to your 12-month period and reset on your membership anniversary. Unused benefits do not roll over, and missed services do not carry forward.
- Member discounts (Plus 5%, Pro 10%) apply to standard-priced work only. They exclude sale-priced tyres and are not stackable with other promotions.
9. Roadside Assistance
- Where included (Plus, Pro, or Basic with the add-on), Roadside Assistance is provided by Club Evolution Pty Ltd, not by Goodyear Autocare Blacktown.
- Cover becomes active within five business days of joining. It is not available immediately.
- Roadside number: 1800 450 490. Subject to Club Evolution's own terms.
10. Cooling-off period
You can cancel within 14 days of joining for a full refund, as long as you have not yet used any Guardian benefit. Just email members@goodyearblacktown.com.au. If you have used a benefit within those 14 days, the cancellation terms in clause 11 apply.
11. Cancellation and early termination
Guardian is a discounted yearly plan; the discount applies on the basis that you stay for the year. You can cancel at any time by emailing members@goodyearblacktown.com.au or by contacting the shop; your cancellation takes effect once we confirm it. To stop your next monthly payment, please tell us at least 2 business days before it is due. If you cancel partway through after using benefits:
- We add up the standard retail price of the Guardian services you have already received.
- From that, we subtract the membership fees you have already paid.
- If the services used are worth more than you've paid, the difference is payable on cancellation.
- You will never be charged more than the full annual price of your tier.
- If the services used are worth less than you've paid, no further charge applies (fees already paid are not refunded).
You are not charged for services you have not used, and not charged for the remaining months of the year as a penalty.
12. Point-of-sale start
If you join on the day you complete and pay a service invoice, you may activate one included benefit immediately; your remaining benefits accrue over the membership year.
13. Fair use and exclusions
Excludes competition/motorsport use, accident damage, abnormal wear, non-standard modifications, oversized fitments beyond manufacturer specification, and vehicles over 3.5t GVM. Benefits cannot be combined with other promotions unless stated.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for legal, operational or administrative reasons. Any material change that disadvantages you will not apply during your current membership term unless required by law. The latest version is always available in-store and on our website.
15. Privacy and communications
We may send you reminders, booking confirmations and membership updates by SMS or email. Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
16. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at members@goodyearblacktown.com.au. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
17. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our workmanship warranty applies to the labour we perform; manufacturer warranties apply to parts.
